Idea & Concept

For my second photoshoot, I photographed a range of rare and high-end cars at the Geneva Motor Show, including models such as the Porsche 959, Lamborghini Vision GT, Aston Martin DB5, Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing and McLaren Speedtail.
Unlike my first photoshoot, which was taken in a controlled museum environment, this shoot focuses on capturing cars in a real-world exhibition context, where there is less control over the surroundings.
The concept of this shoot is based on exclusivity within a public space. Even though these cars are extremely rare and valuable, they are displayed in a crowded environment, which creates a contrast between luxury and accessibility. This is something I found interesting and relevant for my magazine, as it shows another side of the automotive world.
Models
No human models were used in this photoshoot.
However, unlike the first shoot, people were present in the background, which I had to work around when composing my images. This made the process more challenging and required more attention to framing and timing.
Props / Styling
No additional props were used.
In this case, the exhibition itself acted as a visual element, including:
display platforms
brand stands
lighting setups
These elements contributed to the overall atmosphere, but also made it more difficult to maintain a completely clean and minimal composition.
Photoshoot Planning (Adapted Shot List)
Due to the limitations of the location, I had to adapt my approach.
The shots I focused on include:
mid-range front and rear angles, rather than extreme close-ups
side profiles from a distance, capturing the full car within the space
wider shots including parts of the exhibition environment
selective detail shots, where access allowed
Unlike the first photoshoot, I was not able to take interior shots or very close detail images, as the cars were often surrounded by barriers or people.
This meant that my compositions had to rely more on framing and positioning, rather than proximity.
Location
The photos were taken at the Geneva Motor Show, which is a large-scale public automotive exhibition.
This location offered:

access to a wide variety of rare and concept cars
professionally staged displays
strong brand presence
However, it also presented several challenges:
large crowds, making it difficult to get clear shots
limited movement, restricting angles
less controlled lighting, compared to the museum
These limitations required me to be more flexible and selective when taking photos.
Equipment
For this photoshoot, I used my cousins Nikon Coolpix P950
The lighting was provided by the exhibition, but it was less controlled and less consistent than in the museum. This affected the overall quality of some images and required adjustments during editing.
No additional equipment was used, as the environment did not allow for it.
Conclusion
This photoshoot differs significantly from my first one, as it required me to work in a less controlled and more unpredictable environment.
While the museum shoot allowed for clean, minimal compositions, this shoot focused more on adaptability and capturing moments within a crowded space.
